SOLDIERS' PROTEST.
* ■ The report from Wellington that .tops are being taken to re-appoint Professor von.Zedlitz to the positionof Professor of .Modem Languages at I Victoria College was discussed by the executive of the Iteturnod Soldiers' Association at Anekland. fl was decided to make all emphatic protest I against the suggested re-appointment I of I'iot'e.or von Zcdlitz, and to request that no enemy alien who had been interned be allowed to be reinstated in any position, and, further, to demand i Hint any German or enemy alien at | present holding responsible positions 1 |,e lemovcd from office.
