SPORTING.

The Foxton Baeing Club is at present undertaking a scheme ef improvements at the course, a number of the buildings being shifted back on to the land recently purchased from the Toxica Borough Council to make more room for the public. The outer booth and publican's booth Lave been shitted, and the totalisator fcou-.-e has been extended by 30ft, and provision made for about ten new receiving windows, and also for additional pay-out windows. The straight has been ploughed ut> and re-;ow2. and the grass has come away well, and should be in really tip-top order for the next race meeting. The sand gallop has been top-dressed with some good soil, which has been a great improvement. It is probable ih.-it other improvements will be made in tho rear future.
