HOCKEY.
The hockey match, Otaki v. Y.M.C.A. (Levin), played at Otaki on Wednesday, docs not- call tor special mention. The visitors were a weak combination, and went under to the tune of eight goals to nil. Otaki had all the best of the game and won with the greatest of case. Messrs Noble and Remans. were referees.
The match, Excelsior v. Te Horo, played at Levin on Wednesday, was a fine contest, good play being witnessed throughout. The game eventually ended in a win fox the Leviniies by a goal, scored by Claridge, to niL Messrs Small and McDonald were referees.
