Though not nearly so dry as" May was, the month of Judo did not have the average June rainfall. The total for the month af Otaki was 3.26 in. Bain fell on 19 days, and the heaviest day's fall was .62in, on the 21st. June of "last year had 5.30 in. and the average for June for the last 15 years was 4.10 inches. The last 10 days of the month had a "cold snap," with the snow down to the middle Tangos, and on unusual amount of southerly gales, with thunder and lightning, almost all at night. Wellington's rainfall for the mouth was only 2.44 in.
