PEACE CELEBRATIONS.
TO BE HELD ON AUGUST 3,4, &S. It is announced by the Acting-Prime Minister (Sir James Allen) that Peace Celebrations will take place on 3rd, 4th, and sth August. Tho first day will be a Naval Day. New Zealand will commence with'the Thanksgiving Day on Sunday, but the Government has suggested that the Saturday afternoon should be devoted to the planting of memorial trees. The Monday will be i Soldier*' Day, and Tuesday Children's i Dav.
