Mr Joe Grant has disponed of Montavlo, who recently annexed first, second and third stakes at a recent race gathering, for £3O. The animal, .-in future, will be used as a hack. The recent rains have worked wonders on the local course, which, with ordinary luck, should be in good order for the coming meeting. Tho arrangements for the gathering arc practically complete, and success is assured. Jockey Malcolm McDonald was on Wednesday married in Wellington to Miss Bland, daughter of Mr Bland, of Nelson.
