RIFLE SHOOTING.
LEVIN V. HAUTERE. A match was fired at Levin on Fiday last, between the Levin, and Hautcrc Clubs, and resulted in another win for the Levin Club, by the good margin of 20 points. The day was ideal for shooting, and several good scotcs were made by the local men. IV. Ingram G 7, and H. and E. Ingram 66) were basily tho best for the day. Tho Hautcre men, with two or three exceptions, did not shoot up to form, Rifleman G. Ca'tley 64, F. Best and W. Jcpson G 3 each being tho best. The following are the scores:'
CHAMPION BELT. The sixth competition for the Hantere Rifle Club’s Champion Belt (seven shots at JOO yards) was fired on Saturday last in dull and gusty weather. Scoring was low with the exeception of Rifleman H. Catley, a new member, j who notched 33 in his maiden effort. Following are the scores: — I H. Catley 33 i G. Dodds •- SO ) G-. Hayward 29 i L.
