OBITUARY.
jIUS WOOTTON, AGED 59 YEARS.
The death occurred at an early hour ■yesterday morning of Mrs Wootton, rvife of Mr Peter Wootton, one of Paranaraumu’s oldest and most respected settlers. The late M-rs Wootton, who rvas horn in Wellington, was 59 years of age. For some considerable time she had been in indifferent health, and dosuite every attention passed away yesterday mbrniug. She bore her illness with great, fortitude. For a couple of years or so the deceased lived in Karori, but over thirty years took up residence in Paraparauiuu, where she did good work and made a wide circle of friends, being a prominent worker in local efforts, and being much loved for her kindly disposition and lavish hospitality. Among those left to mourn their loss arc deceased’s husband, Private Ernest Wootton (at presents on active service in England), Trooper Arthur Wootton (on active service in Egypt), Edward and Harold Wootton, Mrs S. W. Carter (Shannon), Mrs Williams (Rotorua), Mrs 11. Wcggery (Paraparaumu), and little Miss Connie Wootton. All will have the sympathy of many friends, wliilc the bereaved husband has already bcc'n the recipient of several messages of condolence. The funeral will take place on Saturday, when deceased will be buried at Karuri.
