WEDDINGS.
A quiet wedding was solemnised at the Anglican Church, Otaki, thisjnorning, when Mr Henry Joseph'Clements, of Puhintun, and third son of Mr Willi ani/Clcnnints, of Wellington, was married to Miss Elsie Kathleen Guj", second daughter of Mr and Mrs J.
Guy, of Hauterc Eoad. The Bride, who
was tastefully attired in crcpe-de-a gift sent from Egypt by her brother, with veil and orange blossoms, was attended by : Miss Lucy Guy, in white muslin, as bridesmaid. The best man was Mr George E. Winter, while Mr George Guy gave his sister away. The ceremony ,was performed by the Kev. G. P. Pctric, M.A. The young couple, tho recipients of many presents; will reside in Pahiatua.
A very happy wedding took place on Monday, 4th inst.', at the residence of Mr C. Wilinshurst, Now Plymouth, the contracting parties being Miss Edith Wilmshurst and Mr G. H. Culc, late of P.-.raparauniu. The officiating minister was the bridegroom's father, the Rev. G. G. Culc, who journeyed, from Balclutha to perform the ceremony, which was marked by a beautiful spirit of religious fervour. Miss Milda and Dulcie Abraham acted their paTt well as bridesmaids, and so did Mr W. Abraham, of Stratford, in the capacity of best man. Short speeches were de-
livered afterwards, in which the happy coupjt wore warmly congratulated on their .splendid choice, and all wished them a- very prosperous career in the Methodist Homo Missionary work in the Rehia circuit, North Auckland, where they arc to bo engaged. The bride, like her good parents, both of whom are Methodists, is well known in religious circles, on account .of her great activiity in Christian service. Por. eight years she was Sund.ny school teacher and organist in connection with the Kahouri Bridge Methodist Church, which was founded by her parents and a few'others. Throughout this same period she was also a member of the Stratford Methodist choir. Deep regret was felt-by the religious workers of this district when it became known that the family were leaving to take up residence in New Plymouth. The great loss,. however, of the Stratford circuit was equal gain to the Whiteley Memorial Church, New Plymouth, where .for seven years .this good lady has been choir member and Sunday school teacher, also organist at the Old
People's Home. For seven months she resided at Waikanao with her sister/ I Mis Rickard, and her influence in this district was widely felt, for she was a tower of strength, being organist and Sunday sehool superintendent. Due fo such groat activity, which has been a great "stimulus to ministers and church workers in general, she will doubtless be of inestimable blessing to Mr Culc in his work.

- • lined with pale pink. Her veil was of J worn with orange blossoms, and '< the bouquet was of pink and white flowers.
