Mr Chas. Better, an old resident of Levin, died yesterday, at the advanced age of 83 yean. .

Mrs Ben Heap, who has been in indifferent health for some time past, has again entered the Otaki Hospital for a further operation. Mr W. Tompsitt, who has been confined to his bed for some days, is now making good progress and is able to take outdoor exercise.
