BOWLING.

The-Easter bowling tournament, pre runted by the Otaki Club, and held o: Monday and Tuesday, caused much in tercst in bowling circles, no less thai six clubs, viz., Johnsonville, Hataitai Foxton,. Olliver evened mat fers on the 13th head—l 2-12, but after this failed to score. Refreshments on a liberal scale were , supplied by the ladies, while at the conclusion of the game Mr Ayre (president of the club) thanked the visitors for their attendance and for coming at such short notice, and also those who worked to make the tourney such a success. Messrs Pryor and Varnham and the Rev. Harris replied on behalf of the visitors.
