At the Magistrate's Court to-day W. Murray,- chemist, was fined £SO-on a. charge of .selling "an adulterated drug without informing the purchaser that it: was adulterated.'During ■ the epidemic the'great demand for. ammoui 'a tech tincture of quinine left them short of supplies, but he found.a ■Winchester jar iu the storeroom labelled." ammoniatc.ct quiiiine tincture." Half a.- gallon was made up and sold next day. Analysis showed it to bo deficient in quinine sulphate, and. that it contained methylated spirits- instead of rectified spirit.
