OTAKI GOLF CLUB.

Tho Otaki Golf Club opened its season oa Saturday afternoon in ideal weather. There was a splendid attendance, including visitors from Levin, and all spent a most enjoyable time. The links were in fair order, and interesting games resulted, whilo tho presentation of prizes won last season was a happy event.

Competitions on Saturday wero keenly competed for and won as follows :

Ladies' approaching and putting (two balls): Mrs Hodgson (seven strokes), 1; ladies' long driving, Mrs Arthur Winterburn, 1; men's approaching and putting (three balls), E. Hopkins (nine strokes), 1; men's long driving, E. P. Simcox, 1; mixed foursomes, Miss Pcarlcss and R. C. Kirk. Afternoon tea was served and fully, appreciated.
