A DANGEROUS RIFLE RANGE.
(To the Editor.) Sir,- —The local territorials must be very bad marksmen. Firing practice took pla eo last Saturday. Between in minutes to four and half-past four no less than four bullets whizzed past me while working in my garden, each bullet having crossed the much frequent oil Tc RauparaUa Road. T am informed that lo lire at the target it is necessary to aim in quite a different direction. Are the boys out of control and tiring indiscriminately where they please? "Will the responsible officer in future advertise the time of.' firing piactice on the present range so that residents may barricade their houses with sand-bags or betake themselves for ti holiday where they can feel safe? —I am. etc., THOS. CO ALIAS. To Rauparaha Road, Otaki, March SO. HUP.
