RED CROSS WORK. Mrs Witched, hon. secretary of the Otaki branch of St. John Ambulance and Red Gross Society, has received the following from the lion. secretary of the parent body:—‘‘The ease of hospital work-sent by your Society arrived safely lust week. The work was greatly admired, everything being so excellently done. Will you kindly convey our best thanks to all your workers, and hope they will continue with the work for some .time yet.” It will be seen from the above that the local ladies have by no means been idle, while the quality of .their work is, as usual, excellent. The local branch are out to do even more good work, and their shop day on the l-ith will probably be the biggest yet held locally. An appeal is being made for donations, and we hope it will not be in vain. Residents perilously have always given liberally and cheeffully, and wo hope they will give again. Much work can yet be done for our boys.
