Mr Flutey, of Otaki, has received word that two of Jiis sons. Private Alf. Flutey, who left with the 19th Reinforcements, and Private Jaek Flutey, who left with the laths, arc~expected in Wellington on the 25th inst., the date of the arrival of the Zealandia.
Captain-E. O. Mousley, R.F.A. (Auckland), who was captured at Ivfft, and has been a prisoner in the hands of the Turks ever since, has returned homo as a special envoy of the Turkish Government. He was formerly a master at King’s College, Auckland and a teacher, at the Otaki State School.
It may not be generally known that Mr E. Short, who has been for some weeks in a bad state of health, was six months ago kicked by a horse on the head, the injury causing a bit of bone to touch the brain. It is expected that an operation will remove the present danger to Mr Short 's health, and his friends express confidence as to his final recovery.
Mr Geo. Renwick, sen., has been inlying a flying visit to his sons, Messrs George and James Renwick, of Otaki and To Horo, pending the arrival of his son Sergeant-Major Archie Renwick. The latter has seen much fighting in Egypt, Gallipoli and France, and has been wounded on several occasions. He has served since the early stages of the war. Sergeant-Major Renwick is returning on the 19th by the s.si Matatua.
