On Saturday last the 'i’e Horo Methodist Sunday School annual picnic was held in Mr liaise’s paddock, an ideal spot, at Te Horo. The weather was delightful. and the very large number of children and elder folk who attended spent a very pleasant time. It is understood that the Government has decided to make a substantial grant to benefit lodges to pay the sick ami funeral levies of all those who worn to the front, and claims are nowbeing received.
