• The wedding takes place shortly of two well-known Otaki Gorge residents Crampton and Miss Barker.

Mr S. A. Broudbelt has been appointed Levin delegate on the provincial executive to the N.Z. Farmers' Union.

Mr S. Duncan, late headmaster of the Waikanae school, who recently returned from active service, has been appointed assistant at the Berhampore S.chool, Wellington. • -'.

Mrs Satherley, who has been on a holiday visit to Auckland, returned homo last night, benefitted by the change. Mr Satherley will probably return from north to-night.

Private George Armstrong, at one timo a well-knowu resident of Otaki, recently returned from active service. He is at present on a visit to this township.

Among those due to return home from active service are Privates T. P. Dunno (Paraparaumu), N. M. Coe (Waikanae), W. G. Clark and W. H. Rhodes (Levin).

The Rev. G. F. Petrie, who has boon on a brief holiday to the South Island, returned to his home at Otaki last night, delighted with his sojourn, the greater portion of which was spent in the Nelson district. Fishing was indulged in with great success, while motor-driving through lovely scenery added materially to the holiday. The Rev. Petrie was accompanied by his brother, Rev. F. H. Petrie, of Johusonville.
