Rosalind is also the dam of Black Rose, winner of the Canterbury Derby, and of Royal Rose, winner of the Sydney Handicap and several other high-class races. Redwood as a 2-year-old won the Hawke's Bay two-year-old race, and ran that equine wonder, Carbine, to a head in the Canterbury Champage Stakes.
