Pungarehu Racing Club.

The annual mealing of the Pungarehu Pacing Club was held at Pnngarehu on Saturday, 10th instant, at 8 p.m. Mr Layard presided. The balance-sheet, which showed a credit balance of £4O, was read and adopted. It was decided to hold the next meeting about the 31st January, 1895, provided it did not clash with any other meeting. ‘

The election of officers then took place, as follows: —President, Mr M. Fleming; Vice-President, Mr Layard; Stewards, Messrs T. W. Corbett, W. D. Scott, Wi Kupe, J. Caddy, W. Wallenstein, G. Wells, J. Montifiore, Rua Moetahuna, and Te Whetu ; Judge, Mr A. Bayly ; starter, Mr A. T. Wills ; Clerk of Scales, Mr W. D. Scott; Clerk of Course, Mr G. Wells: Handicapper, Mr R. G. Pardy ; Hon. Secretary, Mr H. Corbett. The following committee was appointed to draw up a programme to be submitted to the first meeting of Stewards Messrs Layard, T. W. Corbett, H. Corbett, G. Wells, and J. Simpson. A hearty vote of thauks wal passed to Mr H. Corbett, who had carried out the honorary duties of secretary at the last meeting, and also a, vote of thanks to Mr Layard and others for the energetic manner in which they had worked to make the last meeting a success.
