Mr Seddon said the Government must submit to the inevitable, and it was with very great regret and pain that he had to move that the following Bills be discharged from the Order Paper ;—The Imprisonment for Debt Abolition, Adulteration Prevention Act Amendment, Hawkers and Pedlars, Lunatics Act Amendment, Chattels Transfer Act Amendment, Noxious Weeds, Unclaimed Laud, Eight Hours, Poisons Importation and Carriage, Municipal Corporations Act Amendment, Electoral Act Amendment, Commissioners Powers, Distress for Rent Abolition,, Pawnbrokers Act Amendment, Sale of Beer, Wine, and Spirituous Liquors at Bellamy's Prohibition, Juries Act Amendment, Second-hand Dealers, Municipal Franchise Enlargement, Pharmacy, Town Districts, Coroners Inquests, Threshing Machine, Owners Lien, Guaranteed Banks Amalgamation, Prohibition v H:syital and Charitable Aid Boarus Special Empowering, Fire brigades, Teachers Court of Appeal, Cremation, C imiiial Code Act Amend-
ment (. s’ Bill), (jontajeous LiseasGs Act llepcal, Shipping and Seamen and Marine Engineers, and the Property Law . cnsolciaticn Amendment. Mr Seddon added that the G_verument had decided to take up Ur George Hutchison’s Law Practitioners Act 1892 Amendment Bill, and Mr Millar’s Employers Private Benellt SccLty Bill. In reply to a question asked, it was stated that it had been decided to lot the Newspapev Libel Limitation Bill (McKonaie) and the New Zealand Institute of Journalists Bill (Stout) remain on the Order Paper. The motion was agreed to on the voices, and the Bills mentioned were discharged from the Order Paper.
