THE FARMERS’ NURSERY RHYMES. I. — Baa ! Baa ! Black Sheep ! Baa ! baa ! black sheep, Got any wool ? Yes, Mr Midleman, three bales’s full; One for our master, One for his dame, One for you middleman, baa ! what a shame. 11. —Tom, Tom, the Piper’s Son ! Tom, Tom, the piper’s son, Reared of fat pigs, many a one ; The pigs were railed, The farmer failed, By railway over-charge undone. Hl—.Hey Diddle Diddle. Hey diddle, diddle, The cat played the fiddle, The cow r sang a very nice tune ; But, ah ! when she found Milk a farthing a pound, It made her jump over the moon ! IV.— Hark, Hark, the Does do Bark ! Hark, Hark, the dogs do bark, Tbe inspectors are coming around; We must carpet tbe bails ! We must curl the cows’ tails, And in apple-pie order be found. V—. Jack and Jill ! Jack and Jill The can to fill, Mixed the milk wdth water ; But when they found They w'ere docked a pound, They were honest ever after! The Farm Baby.
