MAORI v. PA.KEHA Saturday’s game should create quite a deal of interest as it is the first time that a cricket match of this kind has been staged.- Both sides should be able to field strong teams and the Maori' players have left no stone unturned to produce the best available side. Several of their niembers are well-known and proved players but there are quite a few names new to cricket- in this district and they may prove a surprise and produce some good cricketers. The pakelm players- are al] wellknown to the game and should take some beating. It might oven b.e a suggestion that this game be a two day fixture, The teams will be selected from the following:— ‘ Maori Robb, Warren, Bright, Joe Moore, Parkinson, Baer, Mareroa, Grace, Te Pou, 11.
