CHURCH BAZAAR
The Anglican Church bazaar hejd last week in the Waimana Hall was very well patronised and the various stalls did brisk business- during the afternoon. There had been a great deal of sewing, knitting etc. done by guild members during the past- year. Following the afternoon-ten-, the Rev. K, Liggett of Opotiki thanked all for their great help and support to the bazaar and hoped a most successful afternoon would result. The stall holders were Sewing, Mrs. Henderson, Mrs, C. N. White, Mrs. G. Mitchell. Cakes and Sweets, Mrs. Wyklo and Mrs. Joe Addison. Produce, Mrs. M. King and Mrs. Cranswick. Children’s Drinks, Mrs. Macdonald and Mrs. Whiteman. Competitions, Mrs. R. White. Afternoon Tea, Mrs. Rust and helpers. The competition results were: - Tea shower, won by Yvonne Whiteman. Iced Christmas Cake, Mrs. Macdonald. Groceries, Mrs. Cooper. Cushion, Mrs. McCullough.
