FORTNIGHTLY STOCK SALE The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. report as follows Oli their regular stock sale' held yesterday, as follows: — With one of the largest bench of outside buyen; scon at- the local yards for some lime, competition was keen from the outset for the advertised entry of coast sheep, and values well in advance of recent quotations were reached. For a- line of 080 4th. wethers from Marachako Station 37/3 was received, whilst Mr. A. E. Blake on a- line of 43-1 reached 36/3. On a line of 550 maiden 4th. ewes, Air. A. E. Blake realised the satisfactory figure of 39s 3d,.' For the small entry of South Island draught horses competition was not quite 60 keen but all the hoi'Ses were sold under the hammer at- satisfactory pricey.

In the cattle pens there was only a medium yarding and these sold readily to the local butchers and export buyers at values in the vendor’s favour. Realisations:
