TIKI MOTOR CYCLE CLUB
LABOUR DAY SCRAMBLE The Tiki Motorcycle Club held its first and very successful scramble on Labour Day. There was a large attendance of both onlookers and participants. The holding of this scramble was made possible by the generosity of Mr. W. J. Thompson who lent the 'field for the occasion. The events were run off in an efficient manner which reflected credit on the organisers. On the whole it was a display of some very skilful and fast riding by the boys. The most popular win of the day was by young Gavin Dunlop on liis “Red Peril”. The results of the events were as follows: y 250 q.c. Scramble, three laps. 15. Rust (Waimana) 8.5. A., l. Thread the needle (heats): — let heat, B. Anderson, 200 c.c. Velocette. 2nd. heat, K. Pera, 300 c.c. Matchless. 3rd. heat, B. Rust, 200 c.c. B.S.A. •Ith. heat, 1. Parkinson, 000 c.c. Matchless. Rust won the final. 300 c.c.- Scramble, 4 laps, G. Dunlop, B.S.A. .000 c.c. "Scramble, 5 laps, E. Ilaudricks (Auckland), Rudge Special. Slow Race, I. Parkinson, 000 c.c. Matchless. Open Consolation Scramble, 4 laps, I. Parkinson, 000 c.c. Matchless. Old Butlers Race, 3 laps, T. Morcll, 300 c.c. Panther 1. Tom Black took the laps with him. ». Relay, B. Payne (Waimana) 250 c.c. B.S.A. and Anderson 200 Velocette, were the winners. At the end of the meeting, B. Anderson, 300 c.c. Panther and E. Handricks 000 c.c. Rudge, competed in a three lap sprint. Handricks won by a length.
