' GOOD RACING SEEN i STRONG NOIITH-AVEST WIND In spite of the rivers being'slightly in flood, points races for hotli the Idle Along and the 14-foot and over classes were 'held yesterday. The weather was fine with a strong northwest wind. The Idle Along race started at 10.17 a,m., all the boats being off scratch. Silver Wings (D. Talbot) finished first, the time being 11 hrs. film ins., while Manenc (T. N. Hill), which was disqualified "'as fouling the mark buoy, finished in 11 hr5..39 mins. Flying Cloud (D. Mansell) had the misfortune to break her bob-stay, and retired in the second lap. Silver Wings gained a further 255' points. The 14ft. and over class, commenced at 10.27 a.in. Six boats faced the starter -and got away to a good start, and' finished fairly close together, there being only 5* minutes separating first and last boats. There were no mishaps in this race. The finishing times were:—

The placing were Opar (Gliatfield) 255 points 1 .Marie (Hcrewini) 127 pts 2 Phantom (Oedornian) 6'3 pts. ... 3 On Sunday next there will be a resail of tbe race which was held on Sun. day, 19th. November, in which no boat finished the course without some mishap or infringement of rules. Iho club will then have a- recess, and will commence racing again on 17th. January.
