An Oslo report state's that tlu* coast. - guard of Stadtland Island saw a battle to-d'ay between warships and bombers just outside territorial water and heavy gunfire further south. A broadcast yesterday from derma ay states that the British tanker James Joint Maguire, was sunk last week off the English east coast, hut the Admiralty is still silent about the alleged loss. As already stated in the British press, this . tanker, o! 10,320 tons, was not sunk, hut was successfully brought to port lor repair. The steamer Rubislaw laden with cement struck a mine off a southeast coastal port and sank in two minutes. Thirteen members of the crew are dead.
