WHISKY GOES WEST
C.K.* CARGO FOR U.S.A. LONDON, Oct. 16.—A cargo leaves Scotland for America next week that will make every U-boat commander in the Atlantic lick his lips. A hundred and) ninety thousand eases of Scotch wldsky—the largesttingle cargo of its kind ever exported —are going west. But they arc going' in a United States ship, the American Traveler, so it is not likely that a U-boat comnander, however thirsty/ will dare grab them a» contraband. America, has come into the whisky market with a splash. . J’ho weight of this latest, cargo is about 3800 tons. If it were sold in lips in this country at present prices A would cost £1,710,000 —quite an ixpensive round.
