FORTNIGHTLY PIG SALE Messrs. Dalgcty and Co. Ltd. report having held their usual fortnightly pig sale on Monday, when an average yarding came forward. 13a coners were yarded in larger numbers, whilst store pigs came forward in smaller numbers than usual. There was a large attendance of buyers with a full bench of export representatives. Competition was keen, at fully schedule rates and! were firm , on the previous sale. Store pigs met with exceedingly keen competition and advance-on late rates. Realisations : Heavy baconers. £3 Us to £3 13s; Medium baconers. £3 to £3 < s 6cl; Light baconers £2 15s to £2 19s; Porkers £2 to £2 os; Buttermilk pigs £2 to £2 13s; Stores. £2 15s to £2 17s Gd ; Slips, 30.7 to 365; AYeaners, £1 os to £1 ]2s Gd ; Inferior sorts. 17s to 22s Gd. LOAN COMPANY’S REPORT The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency C"o. Ltd. report as lollows : Good yarding of baconers, buttermilk pigs and porkers. Good store pigs and weaners were scarce and met With keen competition, the sale* dosing with prices very firm. Air. CL EBemiett topped the market for bat-on-ers at £3 10 s, Bacon prices were firm at late rates.
