BOY SAVED FROM CAR
PLUNGE INTO TH AML'S LONDON, Aug. 8- —Frankie Sisjnan. aged 10, ef Cypress toad, Harrow, was, trapped in a ear which ran into the Thames at Walton last night. When lie was rescued he told a hospital nurse: “Oil, I could see fishes swimming in and out of the ear windows while 1 was down there.” Frankie had gone fishing with Jim Howarth, his mother’s young milkman. Jim saw the car running down the bank. He ran after it and dived in. Swimming under water lie opened l the car doer and dragged the boy to safety. “I. bad sent young Frankie back to the ear for a fishing reel.” he said. “He must, have knocked the bandbrake off accidentally. “Rut when 1 found him under the water lie was sitting in the car as it it were on dry land. ‘L grabbed his leg. As l pulled him out be bumped his head and wasknocked out.” Frankie remembered more about the meal lu> bad in Walten-on-Thames Hospital than about being trapped in the car. “Course 1, wasn’t frightened,”-, he said. “It was too dark to .get out. No, I don’t know whether f held my breath or not.” Audi Airs. Si.sain, hugging Frankie and thanking Jim. said: “You are n nice pair. I must say.”
