Several tame pigeons have arrived' iu the Waioeka Valley. One arrived in tin exhausted, 1 state at the homestead cl Air. A. J. Alaerao, Oponae, and Airs. Alan Gellert lias taken’charge of another. Both are young birds, and bore no identification ring or other mark.
His. \V. Pratt, Matalmania. has rctunit'd from a holiday spout in Gisborne.—Mrs. G. Hamilton, Okiore, Ims returned from Opotiki, where she was an inmate of the Opotiki Hospital.— Mr. and Mrs. Collect, senr., have recovered from their recent illness. -Sister Clinch, who was in attendance upon the invalids, has retained to Gisborne. Dr. 11. M. Gunn and Mr. N. H. Hull. 'Gisborne, were recent visitors to tlie Waioeka Valley-—Mr. and Mrs. W. Young have* left Oponae to take up their residlenoo in Opotiki. Mr. 11. Louden will be Mr. Young’s successor at the public works depot at Oponae.
