CAR OVER MEREMERE FALL OF 120 FEET DRIVER’S LUCKY ESCAPE A fortunate escape from serious injury was experienced by Air. H. G. Englebretsen, sliaremiJker for Air. J. H. Reid. Tea Luc when the car which lie was driving left the road hear the top of the Mcrcmere hill, on Saturday evening. , The car fell 120 feet in an almost- vertical dlro-p, and was a complete wreck. Air. EnglebrcTsen was able to crawl to the top of the road ajul when assistance arrived on the spot, he was conveyed to the Opotiki Hospital, suffering from shock and other injuries. The car was brought to the top ofthe road after ten hours’ work, and was brought to Opotiki.
