FOREMAN’S REPORT
The following report was presented by the borough foreman at the monthly meeting of the Opotjki borough council:—
20 chain of Coring Street metalled*, 30 chain of Richard Street metalled, 10 chain, of Brabant Street metalled. Approximately 00 yards of river metal carted to gateways, patching streets, and a 1 so to dump at yard. 10 chain of Brabant Street started - thq previous month .has now been completed and metalled. - .
Highways: The sides of St. John* Street—approximately 100 chain—has been cut back with machine to let surface water away. Spoil used for filling. Church Street and Bridge * Street., graded and formed from time to* time. St. John Street patched with Promix.
Water: A good flow of water over spillway and water clean. -Dam inspected and intakb cleaned. Country meters read. 4-inch valve and tee removed fioiu Princess Street.
Two blow-outs repaired on .water
mam. Three new water connection* installed. Number of er< ssings repaired. Seven new crossings put in various streets. Trees planted in section Otara 1 ridge and two 'Tains of new fences erected. 110 ft. of 6 inch pipes laid across Bridge Street and new eess pit built. Main! drain in Church Street dug up and pipes lowered, also concrete trap built. . New concrete dish crossing in Bridge
Street. Pedestrian and traffic lines painted Cemetery and lawns mowed. v Hoads a mil intersections- graded. 1 General maintenance.
