((tonti’ihuted.) The final meeting ol the Baud ol Hope was held on Friday night. The Rev. A. I l ’. Attwood entirely captured the children’s attention with his midi ess. which included two true- stories <i tragedy through alcohol. The Vanstone Memorial trophy was won by .Master Walton Holmes with Miss Gloria Uaird second. .Master Simon Hodgson received the prize for the temperance essay, written at- the District High School. -Misses -Dunn and Heal have put in a lot of work for this year’s Band oi' Hope. All were sorry Mrs. H ampten was unable to he present because of sickness, hut Ihe childl en gave three rousing cheers for tier. Mrs. Sinclair, president of the W.C.T.r. spoke a lew suitable words. The children contributed very intere.-d----ing items, Aids. L. Sinclair ably presiding ab the piano. Supper brought a verv interesting function to a finish.
