L. Laurenson. in a statement■drawing attention to the emergency regulations which prohibit the storage of more than eight gallons of petrol unless a license is obtained from the local authority. Last week several Wairo-a residents were prosecuted and charged with keeping more than 8 gallons of motor spirit on premises .not licensed lor that purpose. F'ach defendant was convicted aiul ordered to pay costs. in eases brought before the Court in Christchurch fines were inflicted.' In one case a defendant had stored over a thousand gallons of motor spirit.
