The delegates to attend tlie federation meeting to he held at Waiotahi on October 5 were elected, namely, Alesdaiiies Jerram and Davies. It was. decided to purchase a re llliock and it was left to Airs. F. Savage to get. tlie past-nls-tl present members’ autographs, or as many as possible. . . ; ' The grandmas then took charge of the entertainment. Airs. W. Wardlaw gave a. tiavcl talk on Scotland* A mime was well acted by Airs. F. Savage and Airs. John Addison. 'flie.twelve grandmas presented gave choruses. dressed in long frocks, shawls, and bonnets, this being fol-lowed-by a modern item, tlie “Lambeth' AYalk”, also by the grandmas. Roth items were warmly applauded. A short id ay, entitled “An Institute .Meeting”, was well presented by Airs. W. Wardlaw Mrs. .Hewitt, and All-. \Y. AleCoiinelj sc nr. The competitions for the day were as follows : Row! of Spring Flowers: Airs. F. Rell I, Airs. Stevenson 2, Airs. 1. Savage ;i. Hand-made handkerchief: Airs. F. Rell 1. Airs, Flack 2. Alt's. I. Savage a. Fast Bloom : Airs. Stevenson 1, AJis. Grover 2. Airs. Jerram 3. The hostesses. Alesdames H. Wardlaw. R. AYardlaw, Woo Hie Id , -Misses AYoolfield and JO. Wardlaw. served a delicious afternoon tea. A hearty vote of thanks was earned'’ by aoclnnuition to the grandmas for tlie splendid entertainment provided for the afternoon, and to the hostesses and judges. 'The meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
