FORTNIGHTLY PIC SALE LOWEII PRICES Messrs. Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report as follows on the fortnightly pig .side held in the Opotiki saleyards:— An average yarding of pigs came forward and prices showed a- retrograde movement, •as compared with the past-two sales. This was probably brought about by the buyers being influenced by the present unsettled conditions. We quote the following prices width ruled throughout the sale: .Medium weight baconers, to £3 Is; lighter weight baconers, to £3; light baconers. £2 15s to £3; porkers, £2 6s to £2 11s; large stores, to £2 os; butte! milk pigs, to £2 16s- slips, 265; weaners, 10s to 17s. A maiden Berkshire sow was sold at the satisfactory price of guineas. 'J'he New Zealand Loan and -Mercan--tile Agency Co. Ltd. .report a medium yarding of all classes of pigs was offered to a representative bench of buyers. Competition was easier in all classes and.- prices showed a slight weakening in consequence. Pricesrealised! were:—Medium baconers, £3 Is to £3 ss; light baconers, £2 15s to £2 19s; heavy porkers, £2 8s to £2 12s ; light porkers, 38s to £2 6s; large stores, 32s to 37s 6d; smaller sorts, 25s to 31s; slips, 17s to 275; weaners, 7s 6d to £l.
