OPFK ATE A FARM INFLICTION NO HANDICAP ST.RATHROY, Out., July G.—Blind ’Since birth, the Brittle family of tito brothers and two sisters, all over 60, has .managed a KJJ-acre farm near here since 1901. The two sisters, Caroline and Alary, recently left to live with Mrs. Cora Plumb, of Kitchener,, another sister. Until a short time ago the iurjn was la going concern in every branch of general farming, the ageing brothers, Frank, aged 70, and Samuel, GO,' now work only a- few acres of vegetables and use.the rest of the land for-> pasture. . • • The brothers think blindness is no handicap to farming. The .sisters did all 'tjie work of the farmhouse, keep-'* ing it spick and span in its busiest years. Frank and Samuel have no difficulty in telling weeds from vegetables and can hoe and weed as well as any farmer.
