June 18.—A Queen Bee. radio-coni trolled target plane, flying at a great height seven miles out over the Bristol Channel, was shot to pieces to-day by gunners of the 12th. Anti-Aircralt Battery (R.A.), .stationed at Watchet. 'Tim only part of the plane salvaged was a. section of one float. Qiiceiu. Bee planes, which are made l \ the Do li.avillaud Company, were first seen "in action” in 1 DTI. when they were list'd for target practice by the Navy at the Silver Jubilee review.
