OPOTIKI GIRL GUIDES
ANN UAL COMMITTEEI -MELTING The annual meeting of the Girl Guide Committee was held at the home of Mrs. H. J. Mail on Monday, when Mrs. Sin toil, District Commissioner, presided over a good attendance. The president, Mrs. J. D. Clark, read her report in which she thanked the committee for their loyalty and support and stated that much valuable work had been done during the year. Reports, were also presented by Miss Roberta Abbot, acting lieutenant, and Miss Salt, Tawny Owl, showing that a high standard of work was being maintained by the Guides and Brownies. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mrs. J. I). Clark. Vice-president, Mrs. Rowland and Mrs.' Potts. Chairwoman. Mrs. (J. B. Murray. Hon. Secretary, Mrs. J. D. Dicker.
Committee, Mesdames Mail, Kidd, Bridger, Hampton. McCaldon, do Montalk and Mrs. Sinclair. Afternoon tea was served. This was followed by a very interesting and instinctive talk on life in -Germany, given by Miss Lois Harrison, who lias recently returned after spending two vears in that country.
