An invitation had been received- from the Auckland Orphans’ Club asking that anv members who wore able should attend their meeting on August 19th. A saxophone solo was rendered by Pro. Loatherwiek and a broadcast of mi imaginery wrestling match in the Opotiki Town Hall was given b\ Bro. Wrigley. A one-act play by the discord comedians entitled “The Jordan’s Wedding Anniversary”, featured Bro. AlcDougall as Airs. Jordan. Pro. Program ns Mr. Jordan (an under- ■ taker). Pro. Duff as Airs. Fungate, and Pro. Simpson as Air. Fungate (a corpulent proprietor). A savoury supper was served hv chief steward Forbes and his assistants. Further orchestral items were followed by a song by Air. Sweeting, a vent I'ilcquiid item by Bro.- -G. L.Vsaght, a song by Bro. CL Matson, a duct by Bros. Me I fungal I and T. O’Sullivan, a. song by Bro. 1).
