WEDDING

GRANTHAM—WALKER * BRIDE FROM. TE W 7 ERA FROCK OF IVORY SATIN Early last Saturday afternoon Holy Trinity Oiurch, Gisborne, was thgscene of a very pretty wedding when Patricia, eldest daughter of 31 r. and Airs. G. Sc Grantham, Te AY era. was married to Edward Charles Colin, eldest son of Air. and Airs. AY. "Walker, Opotiki. Canon A. F’. Hall officiated, and 31 r. I). Dyer was the organ - ist. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, looked very graceful in a tight-fitting frock of ivory satin andl lace with a train of satin with lace inlet. Her beautiful tulle veil was liekl in place with orange blossoms. She carried a-bouquet-of arum lilies and roses mingled with, asparagus fern. The bridesmaids were Aliss Joyce Grantham, sister of the bride and Miss Betty Walker, sister of the bridegroom. The former was daintily frocked in primrose taffeta, made in the Daphne design. She wore a pink head veil, and pink lace mitens, and carried a. posy .of camellias and, 1 daphne with asparagus fern. 31iss Betty Walker was similarly, attired in cornflower, blue taffeta, and her bouquet was of voilets and camellias with asparagus fern. Mr. John Walker was best man, and. 31 r. B. Grantham groomsman. ■ The reception was held in Messrs. Findlay’s tea. rooms. Mrs. G. SGranthain received the guests wearing a navy blue costume and navy accessories, and Airs. AY.. "Walker wore a frock of maroon wool crepe with hat to match. The bride’s .uncle, 3lr. fcL AYhitchoad, was 31.0. The newly-married couple received many beautiful presents and telegrains of good! wishes. When leaving for their tc-ur of the North Island Sirs. E. Walker, wore a. nigger brown costume with brown, accessories. 31r. and 3!rs. E. Walker’s future home will be in Opotiki. Among the guests were 31r. and Airs. A. Roberts, Te Kaha, Sir. and Airs. AY. Olsen, Te Ivaraka, Air. and Mrs. J. Hewitt, Dannevirke, Air. and Mrs. W. Peach, Alatawai, Air. and Airs. A. Geary, Air. and Mrs. R. Al.cDonald, Aliss B. Fairweatlier, Te Kaha, Miss J. McDonald, and Air. and Airs. S. Whitehead.
