SECOND ANNUAL TOATOA JERSEY SALE

A GREAT LINE OR, HJSIFJBRS \ r.*:: The .second annual sale of Mr. W. J. .Raul’s Toa'tott Jerseys is to be held at the vendor’s Opotiki Homestead by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., on Wednesday, July 12th. next, when a particularly attractive offering will be submitted to breeders. In all, 83 head have been catalogued, comprising, in addition t 6 the entire 1937 crop of heifers, ‘2O sp!end]d stud cows, 12 rising 2 year old bulls and 13 yearling bulls. Air. Raul is well known throughout New Zealand as an eminently successful breeder of tfpe and production cattle, as the many big c.o.r. records and high classification awards to the credit of the stud bear evidence. Records up to 720 lb. fat have been, established by heifers on high, rugged country, and the success of these females on the richer lowlands lias been little short of astounding. Mr. Paul’s imported bull, .Brampton Owl Standard, has proved a brilliant breeding sire, and will undoubtedly qualify for c.b.b. bottoms in the near future. He is largely represented by daughters and grand-daughters in the offering for July '3rd., which can be recommended to all progressive breeders who desire to enrich their herds by an infusion of this most prepotent blood.
