FISHBONE KILLS MAN
PUZZLING ILLNESS SYDNEY, May 30.—Recause doctors could not' ascertain tile cause ot the death of Albert Ernest ohortus, aged 51, an iron-worker, of \\ arron read, Marriekville, a post mortem examination was ordered and tin's cl is-, closed that a small fishbone 'swallowed about three months ago hail 111 led him. The bone had become embedded m his intestines and had caused peritonitis. Shortus swallowed the fishbone when eating his lunch but felt no discomfort for some time alter When he developed stomach trouble he was treated at a private hospital without result. Later lie was taken to the Royal Prince Alfred - Hospital, but he gradually became worse until lie died.
