GISBORNE LAND BOARD
TWO XEiW MEMBERS THEIR FIRST MEETING • Two now members, Messrs. J. W. Cordon and; I. F. Watt, took their seats for the- first time at the Gisborne Land Board’s meeting last week. Mr. Gordon succeeds Mr. J. H. Reid, and Mr. Watt lias taken Mr. R. H. Wicksteed’s place. Mir. G. O. Donovan resumed, his old seat as tiie reelected representative of the Crown tenants. Messrs. Watt, Gordon and Donovan were congratulated by the commissioner of Crown lands, Mr. H. L. Primrose om their appointments, while Mr. P. J. O’Kane, who is also a re-cently-appointed member, complimented Mr. Donovan on his successful return to- the board. ' Two applications for land, one in respect of part section 4, block 1, Waibeka SD. 27 acres, and section £lB, Waiotalii parish, 5S acres, were adjourned!.
