OPOTIKI PRIMARY SCHOOLS’ FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION
RESULTS OF TOUBNAAIKNT On Saturday morning, June 10th., a seven-a-sido football tournament was held between the primary schools of the district. Unfortunately the unsettled) weather conditions and prevalence of influenza prevented two teams front participating, and also caused some disorganisation among those tea.ms that had to travel. However a very enjoyable football morning was spoilt. The results were:— Ist. Round.—Opotiki A defeated Omarumutu B S-Ul. Wocxllands-Ku-tarcre defeated. Opotiki C 5—3. Opotiki B defeated Convent 11—0. Omariimutu A a bye. 2nd. Round.—Opotiki B defeated Omarumutu A 19'—O'. .Opotiki A heat Woodlands-Kutarero G—o. Final.—Opotiki A defeated! Opotiki B G—o. A competition for the losing teams resulted : Omarumutu B defeated Opotiki O 22—0. Convent drew with Otnarumutit J—3. D. Rankin, playing for Opotiki A, and scoring several tries, and Joe Rnnapia for Omarumutu B were the outstanding players of the day.
