Twoi butchers in the. same street, one opposite the other were advertising their sausages. The first, one l put up in his windlow: ‘‘Sausages. ICd per lb. r lo pay more is to be robbed.” His rival countered with: ‘‘Sausages, 1/- per lb. To pay less is to be poisoned.” Number one then announced: “Our sausages still lOd. per lb. As supplied to H.AI. tlie King.” But victory, rested with his rival whose final notice read simply: “Gcd save the King!”
