The monthly meeting of the \\ .C.'J . I'. .-was presided over by tlie president, Airs. J. it. Sinclair. A short prayer service was held for peace and the sufferings of the world. Arrangements were made for scones etc. for footballers .who are entertained by the Maori Alission ladies at the Alission Hall. To was decided to held the Band ol Hope next month. A very interesting paper was read of a strong deputation of over 200 women, introduced byMrs. C. Stewart A! P. of Wellington. The speakers, Alts. Hiott, Dominion president el the W.C.'J . b., and the deputy-president, Airs. Patterson, spoke very strongly to the Hon. I*. Eraser on enforcement of liquor laws, and received a very syjnpathetic healing. The hostesses were Allesdames Sinclair and Hampton. Airs. J. Gow Murray was the accompanist.
