WAIMANA NEWS BIRTHDAY CELEB RATIO N S (News Correspondent), The Waimaua. Hall was the scene of a most pleasant evening last Thursday. when Air. and Airs. Id. Grover entertained 150 guests at a dance in honour-of th(>ir eldest daughter. Miss Sheila Grover; who had! reached the age of 21 years. The stage was beautifully decorated with howls of pink petunias and palms, and the floor was in good order tor dancing. Excellent dance music was played by the Embassy orchestra, and popular extras were played by Miss Jean ' Grover. . .The balloon; streamer and confetti dances caused much merriment during the evening, and the Monte Carlo waltzes were most popular. Much appreciated vocal items were given by Mrs. T. Burke and! Mr. M. Burke. A most delicious supper was served, and the beautiful birthday cake, which was iced pink and was decorated with 21 kewpies. took pride of place at supper. Mr. T.
